My boyfriend doesn't text me much. What does it mean?

On its own, not much. A man who has never texted much during the day is not telling you anything by texting little today. A man who used to send good morning every day and stopped a month ago is.

So the question is not how much he texts. It is whether this is him, or a change in him.

The answers online are about men, not about him

Search this and you get 2 camps. 1 says men just don't text, stop reading into it. The other says a man who wants you will text you, full stop. Both are talking about men in general.

You are not dating men in general. You have months of his messages, and they already show what his normal looks like.

The 1 thing that decides it: his normal, and when it changed

Scroll back 2 or 3 months and look at a normal weekday. Then look at the last 2 weeks.

What changes the read

How he is in person. If he is quiet on text and warm when you are together, the phone is not where he lives. If he is quiet in both, the texts are not the issue.

Whether he answers what you asked. A short reply that answers your question is still a reply. A reply that skips it, again and again, is a different thing. More on that in his replies got shorter.

Who starts. If you start every conversation and he always answers, that is a pattern with its own read: he replies, he never starts.

What to send, if anything

The message most people want to send is why don't you ever text me. It asks him to defend who he is, so the reply you get will be a defense.

Say what you want instead of what he is doing wrong. Something like: i like hearing from you during the day. even a photo of your lunch counts

If it changed and you want to know why, ask about him, not about the texts: you've seemed far away the last couple of weeks. is something going on? That is easy to answer honestly, and it does not start a fight about how many messages he sends.

When sending nothing is the better move

If you already asked today and he said he is tired or slammed, a second message tonight will read as pressure, not care. Let it sit until tomorrow.

And if this has become a real worry, it may be a talk to have in person, not over text. Here is how to bring up a serious conversation without it starting as a fight. Sending nothing today is a normal result, not a failure.

What ZZEND does with this

Paste your thread and it reads his messages against his own record, not against men in general — how he usually texts, what has been changing lately, and whether the change is new for him.

Then it writes the message in 4 tones so you can pick the one that sounds like you, and tells you if today is a better day to wait.

His messages are never stored. Only your own lines are saved, so the drafts sound like you.

Try it on your conversation
