Short, specific, and with nothing in it she has to fix. The first message is not the place to explain the breakup, and it is not the place to ask if she misses you.
What goes in it depends on how it ended, and you already know that part.
Free to try. We never store your chats.
Lists of texts to send your ex are written for an average ex. Yours has a way of answering when she is hurt, a way of going quiet, and things she said near the end that you have not forgotten. That is the part that decides what works.
It points at something real and small, and it is easy to answer or to leave. That is all.
It does not open with can we talk, which asks for a meeting before she knows what it is about. It does not say i've changed, which she cannot check from a text. And it is not 3 paragraphs.
A couple of shapes that work:
The second one names 1 thing she actually said, in close to her words. That is what makes it read as real instead of as a line. If you are not sure how yours reads, run it through a tone check first.
Answer what she sent. If she says haha yeah it's good, how are you, she asked how you are. Tell her, briefly, and ask 1 thing back. Do not jump to the relationship in message 2 because the door opened. Going slower here is what keeps it open.
If she blocked you, asked for no contact, or told you to stop reaching out, do not text her, not even with the good version. Getting back together is not something you can push someone into.
Also not tonight if it has been days since the breakup, if you have been drinking, or if the real reason is that you saw her post something. Wait until the message is still the same message in the morning. Sending nothing today is a normal result, not a failure.
Paste the thread and it reads it against her, not a stranger — how she answers when she is hurt, how the end actually went, and whether today is a good day to write at all.
Then it gives you the message in 4 tones, plus your own draft cleaned up, and tells you first if the better move today is to wait.
Her messages are never stored. Only your own lines are saved, so the drafts sound like you.
