The morning was good. He was sweet, he said he would text. Now it has been 12 hours, or a day, and the quiet feels much louder than it would have last week.
That feeling is normal after you sleep together. But the question you are stuck on, what to text, is usually not the real question. The real one is whether you need to send anything yet.
Free to try. We never store your chats.
Your friends say "last night was fun" is not a crazy text. They are right. Ask any AI assistant what to text him after you slept together and it will give you a perfectly good line too. Something like i had a really nice time last night, hope your day is going well.
The text is fine. The draft was never the problem. Everyone is answering "what should I send," and nobody has asked "should I send anything yet." Only your thread can answer that second one.
Scroll back and count the moves, not the messages.
If the last 3 moves were all yours, he already knows you are interested. A 4th move right now does not tell him anything new, and it fills the one quiet space that would tell you something. What he does when you stop moving things forward is the information you are missing.
If the effort has been mutual, or you are already together, this is a different situation. Then a warm text is just a warm text, and you can send it.
What was said at the door. If he said "text me when you get home" and you said "you text me," and he said "deal," then the next move is his. There is nothing waiting on you.
How he usually texts. If he has always taken most of a day to reply, a slow day now is his normal. If he used to reply in minutes and has gone quiet since that night, the change is the part to notice.
How long it has really been. After you get closer to someone, 12 hours can feel like 3 days. Check the clock before you check your drafts.
More than 1 change. 1 slow day is not a trend. If his replies got shorter, the plans stopped and the quiet all started together, read is he losing interest.
If he already texted and it is just quieter than you hoped, answer what he sent, at his length. Do not ask what last night meant. That is a conversation for in person, not for a reply at 11pm.
If the effort has been mutual and you want to say something, keep it in your own voice and do not attach a question he has to solve. Something like: last night was fun. hope your day wasn't too brutal
It is warm, it is short, and it does not ask him to explain the gap. If he said "deal" to texting you first, even a small reply like lol okay, deal to his message later is enough. It matches his energy without opening a new move.
If he said he would text, and the last 3 moves were yours, today the better move is to send nothing. Not to punish him, and not as a rule that women cannot text first. Just to let his next move tell you what he wants.
Silence after you sleep together can feel hard to sit with, so people rush to end it. Often it is not because there is something to say. It is because they want the other person to make the worry stop. Put the phone down for the evening, and see what tomorrow brings.
If he has told you he does not want more, or asked you not to contact him, take that as the answer. Do not push past it.
You paste the conversation and it reads the quiet against him, not a list — how he usually texts, what was said last, and whose move it is now.
Then it writes the reply back in 4 tones, and tells you if the better move today is to wait instead of sending anything. If it says wait, it still writes the message. It just tells you first.
Try it on your conversation
